When I Grow Up I Want To Be A Super Hero

Comic books and Super Heroes seem to have completely exploded recently. I have to admit I am a bit partial to the odd super hero film, especially Iron Man, not just for Robert Downey Jr of course. With this recent burst of films there has been the release of comic related prints and designs into fashion and on the high street. I have found a few items which I think you will all enjoy.

Royal Batman Print Dress £5.99-£8.99

Batman Comic Print Crop Top £18

Cartoon Mini Dress £22

Wonder Woman Night Dress £19

Superman V Neck T-shirt £34.99

Do you like Comic related fashion? Which one of these is your favourite?

Seventeen Doll'd Up Mascara

I managed to pick this mascara up when it was first released for just £2 as I had a voucher sent with my Boots point’s statement, happy days!

Now this is the first time I have tried anything from the Seventeen range and I have to say I am impressed.
The packaging is really cute and the brush is curved to glide through your lashes easily leaving them looking lovely and fluttery.

I really like the formula of this mascara as well; it is not at all sticky or clumpy and gives your lashes a natural look.

Before

After

I have been using this as more of a day time mascara as when I am going out I prefer something that adds a bit more volume to my lashes. I think this a great mascara for when you want minimal makeup or a day time look yet want your eyes to look amazing.

Urban Decay Loose Pigment Eye Shadow

Yeyo , Baked , Goddess

There are some Urban Decay products that seem to have fallen off the radar, these eye shadows are one of them. I guess with the popularity of the Urban Decay palettes it’s easy to bypass smaller items from their collections. I got these in a set for Christmas and individually they have an RRP of £11.50, however you can find them on CheapSmells with prices ranging from £2.95 - £3.95.

I really like these colours and the shimmer, they are perfect for a night out. The black ‘Goddess’ shade actually has blue glitter in but it is hard to see in the photo, this makes it a great colour to create a smoky eye. These kind of remind me of the Barry M eye shadow pots however these are a thicker consistency and I think a better quality.

The one thing that I do not like about these is the applicator. It is a stubby little brush which makes it hard to apply and does not hold product very well. I find that the best way to apply these eye shadows is to pour a little bit out either into a dish or even a bit of paper and use your own applicator tools.

I think these are a great product to add to your collection as they have some beautiful shades, they are fantastic quality and they are easy to blend to create different looks.

Do you have any other shades in this range?

My Exfoliating Routine

So today I thought I would share with you my exfoliating routine. I exfoliate once or twice a week as I find that is enough to keep my skin soft and fresh. The two products that I use are 2 of my ultimate favourite body products and they are from Soap and Glory which again is a brand that I think are fabulous!

First of all I use the Flake Away body polish which contains shea butter, sugar and peach seed powder, it honestly smells amazing. I use this all over my body using an exfoliating mitt. When I come out of the shower I will then use The Righteous Body Butter which is a blend of shea butter and aloe vera, mmm mmm.

Both of these products are so luxurious to use. As you can see they both have quite a thick consistency. The Flake Away is grainy but does not feel too harsh on your skin and the Righteous Butter is so thick and moisturising yet sinks into your skin in no time at all.

Another reason that I love the combination of these products is that the longevity of the scent is incredible. You can still smell the Soap and Glory goodness on your skin hours after applying.

If you have never tried any products from Soap and Glory first of all, where have you been hiding? Secondly if you only try 2 products from their range make it these 2 and you will be a complete convert!

What do you use in your exfoliating routine?

Lush 'Catastrophe Cosmetic' Face Mask

I had read a lot about this facemask on blogs and heard it mentioned on twitter countless times so when my skin decided it was going to throw a strop I just had to get it.

The Catastrophe Cosmetic facemask is made from blueberries, chamomile and calamine to aid problematic skin. This was exactly what I needed!

The mask smells quite nice and makes me feel relaxed. It feels gentle on my skin and you can feel it working its magic almost instantly. The mask takes 10-15 minutes to harden, any excuse for a little ‘me’ time where I can just sit and close my eyes or have a bit of a read.  Cue the photo of me looking like a scary swamp lady:

When the mask has hardened it washes off easily leaving my skin feeling soft and looking cleansed and bright. In terms of how it affects my problem areas it is a miracle worker. The next day my skin is clearer and spots look less angry!

I cannot recommend this face mask enough. At those certain times of the month when your skin just doesn’t want to play ball this is a life saver.
