My Evening Skin Care Routine

For me getting my skin care routing right is so important. As much as makeup can do to hide imperfections and the areas that you do not like it can only go so far. Your skin is the base for your look and if I can get away with using less makeup in favour of having a better skin care routine then I am all for it!

First things first is to take off the wall paint! I use a cleansing butter or balm to take off my makeup. I am currently using the B.Clean Melting Gel Cleanser from Superdrug. It works to melt away my makeup ready to cleanse my skin.
I use another cleanser after I have taken off my makeup as I find it just helps to make my skin extra clean and ensures there are absolutely no traces of any makeup left. I like the Spotless Skin Triple Action face wash by Simple. I love Simple products as my skin has always reacted well to them. This particular one has spot fighting ingredients as I can suffer from spots and redness and this helps to combat that.

Next I go in with an eye cream. I am only 25 but I think prevention is better than cure when it comes to the signs of ageing! I have been using an eye cream for about 6 months and I have to say it has helped with dryness and now I would not go without one. I have a lighter treatment for during the day but I like something a bit more intense in the evening. I have been using the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye and it is a very luxurious eye cream, which has an almost gel like consistency. I received this is a gift set and as much as I do like it I probably would not buy it for myself as it is quite expensive.
So the next step depends on what day of the week it is. Twice a week I like to use an intense moisturiser, my weapon of choice is the Origins Drink Up mask. On the days in between I use the Origins High Potency Night-A-Mins Renewal cream. I love Origins products as they work wonders for my skin and they always smell amazing!
And that is that! I am definitely not one of those people who can sleep with makeup on. Even after a night out I need to get it all off, the thought of what it would do to my skin terrifies me! I have been using these products in my routine for a few months and my skin looks and feels great.
What do you use in your evening skin care routine?

Top 5 Products I Have Discovered Since Blogging

There are so many fabulous products that I have found over the years from blogging and watching Youtube.  I have managed to knock it down to my Top 5 but there are so many other products that I have found which I love! But for now here are 5 of my favourites.

MUA Undressed Palette
I have used the Undress Palette from MUA for a couple of years and love it. It is the perfect neutral palette. The shades are great for creating both day and evening looks which makes this perfect for travel or if you like everything to be in one easy to reach for palette. At just £4.00 you cannot go wrong!

Batiste Dry Shampoo in Tropical
Last but not least we have the Batiste dry shampoo in the Tropical scent. I love this for both refreshing my hair and for styling as it creates texture and volume. The scent is really refreshing and it is just what I need in the mornings when I just cannot be bothered or for when I need a bit of a refresh after the gym! A more in depth review can be found here.

Yves Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo
Another skin care item and one that I always reach for when my skin decides to be angry. This is a treatment which reduces the appearance of imperfections and unclogs pores. It is the first produt that I have found which really gets to work on nasty spots, especially those pesky sore under-the-skin ones. I have reviewed this beauty more here.
Origins Drink Up Intensive
This moisturiser is a God-send I use it twice a week in my routine and if my skin is playing up this stuff kicks dry skins butt. It smells amazing as it contains avocado oil, apricot oil and mango butter….I know it even sounds lovely! Definitely my all time favourite moisturiser.
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer

I know this one is probably not a shock as it is a well known and well loved product amonst bloggers. It is just a great concealer. I love the consistency, the colour match, the result and it is such a bargain!

I would love to know your Top 5 Products that you have discovered since blogging!

Beanies The Flavour Co*

I love a flavoured coffee, Starbucks Pumpkin Spiced Lattes are like little dreams in a polystyrene cup! So when the lovely people over at Beanies the flavour Company contacted me to try some of their flavoured coffees me and my taste buds were more than happy to oblige.
Beanies flavoured coffees contain only 2 calories a cup which is great for if you need a sweet fix without gorging into that big bar of Dairy Milk you have got hiding in the cupboard. You can choose from a variety of flavours: Very Vanilla, Nutty Hazelnut, Irish Cream, Cinnamon & Hazelnut and Amaretto Almond. And then you have got the 4 flavours that I was lucky enough to receive: Double Chocolate, Gingerbread, Chocolate Orange and Cinder Toffee. Some of these flavours are available in de-caf as well for those who do not like the coffee buzz!
In terms of flavour personally I found them ok, I have a very sweet tooth so would have preferred them to be a bit sweeter however the other halves parents love them. They are on a big sugar-kick at the moment and just cannot get enough of these.  So if like them you are trying to find alternative foods/drinks that give you that sugar sensation without having to use sugar itself then these are great.
You can find the full range of Beanies Coffee’s online here or you can find a few of the flavours including Cinder Toffee, Irish Cream and Very Vanilla in selected supermarkets.

Have you tried Beanies Coffee?

On Wednesday's We Wear Pink.....

Mean Girls is one of my all time favourite films. If you have not seen it a) Where have you been? and b) Go an watch it now!

One of the requirements of being in this click is that on a Wednesday you wear pink, if not then quite frankly you just can't sit with them, end of! So I have compiled some of my current favourite pink outfits that I think Regina George would be proud of.

Which outfit is your favourite?

Maybelline Colour Tattoo - 'Eternal Gold'

I love the Maybelline Colour Tattoo pots and one of my favourites has to be the ‘Eternal Gold’ shade. It is the perfect multi use shade and it is so lovely to use.
This is my go-to product when I just want to throw something on my eyes really quickly without having to make too much of an effort as it just gives my eyes that little pop of colour, perfect when you would rather have that extra 10 minutes in bed.
Now the reason I say this is a multi-use product is that you can use it as a quick bish-bash-bosh done eye shadow but then you can use it to create bold, long lasting looks for when you are going out. It looks great on it’s own, as a base for creating a smoky eye and if I know I am going to be out for the long haul I use this as a primer to build on.
If you have not tried the Colour Tattoos they are a must! Another point to add, they seem to last forever! I have had this particular one for about a year and use it regularly and it still looks full!
Have you tried the Colour Tattoos? What shades would you recommend?
